Modi seems to have capability to stop Russia-Ukraine war, but not NEET paper leak: Rahul Gandhi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took potshots at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over NEET exam paper leak and UGC-NET cancellation row.

In a press briefing on the 20th of July, the Congress MP claimed that the reason paper leaks are happening is because it is being facilitated by Prime Minister Modi.

"It was being said that Modi ji stopped the Russia-Ukraine war. But due to some reasons, Narendra Modi has not been able to stop or doesn't want to stop paper leaks in India," the Raebarelli MP said.

He further claimed that paper leaks are happening at the behest of BJP's parent organisation, the RSS.

"In Madhya Pradesh, Vyapam (scam) happened. Narendra Modi and his government are now planning to replicate that scam all over the world. The reason behind paper leaks is that the education system has been captured by the BJP's parent organisation. Till the time this is not reversed, paper leaks will go on. Modi ji has facilitated this capture. It is an anti-national activity."

Referring to the cancellation of the UGC-NET exam, Gandhi said, “Now, people are clear that we are sitting on a disaster and we have a government that is crippled. It is a profound national crisis. I don’t even see a capability of response (from the government).”

“An inquiry is underway, one (exam) has been cancelled; we don’t know whether the other one will be cancelled or not. But, someone is responsible for all this and they should be arrested and action should be taken against them,” said Gandhi.
