A government school in Punjab’s Ropar district received a new 31-seater bus under a CSR initiative, enhancing student transportation and accessibility.

      Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains dedicated a new 31-seater bus to Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Sukhsal, in Ropar district, further enhancing transportation facilities for government school students.

      SML Isuzu's Chief Financial Officer, Rakesh Bhalla, handed over the bus to the school education department as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

      Harjot Singh Bains said this initiative will significantly improve student transportation, ensuring safe and comfortable travel.

      Reaffirming the Punjab government's commitment to providing world-class education, he highlighted that the education department already operates 230 buses, benefiting over 12,000 government school students. This initiative reflects the government's dedication to accessible and quality education.

      He added that the bus will play a crucial role in facilitating student access to school, extracurricular activities, and educational excursions, enriching the learning environment.

      Expressing gratitude, Principal Gurdeep Kumar Sharma thanked the Education Minister for his efforts in improving government schools and emphasized the bus's positive impact on students.

      Chairman of the Punjab School Education Board, Amarpal Singh, senior school education officials, SML Isuzu’s Secretary Parvesh Madan, and Chief Manager Vivek Chanana were also present at the event.
