      Popular Alka Yagnik suffers from rare sensory hearing loss. She informed everyone through an Instagram post that it happened after one of her flights. When she came out of the plane, she realized that she could not hear anything. The singer also advised everyone to not listen to loud music and minimise use of headphones.

      How to take care of your ears

      Taking extra care of our ears is important. Here are some essential tips one must follow to take care of your ears.

      Avoid use of headphones: Constantly covering your ears with headphones to listen to music can lead to worse consequences. Don’t keep your ears always covered and let them breathe.

      Cleanliness: Cleaning your ears is very important. Clean the outer portion of your ears and also inside them. However, avoid over using use cotton earbuds.

      Avoid noise pollution: Do not stay at noisy places for long and use earplugs if necessary.

      Healthy diet: A healthy and nutritious is important for the well being of your ears. Consume a healthy diet, which is rich in vitamins and minerals.

      Regular check-ups: Get your ears checked regularly and get immediate help in case of any infection.
