Federico Valverde put Real in lead after just 5 minutes with a brilliant assist from Karim Benzema. 17-year-old Ansu Fati equalised 3 minutes later becoming the youngest goalscorer in El Clasico history. But that would be the only goal scored by the Catalan giants in the match. Real Madrid was awarded a penalty in the second half for a foul on Sergio Ramos, who made the most of the opportunity to put his club in the lead.
