Euro 2020: Belgium bow out, Italy to face Spain in the semis

The highest-ranked team in the world, Belgium was knocked out of Euro 2020, as Italy booked their semi-final berth in an action-packed game with a thrilling 2-1 win.

The game swayed towards Roberto Mancini's men in the first half itself, with 2 goals from the Azzurri. Nicolo Barella scored the opener in the 31st minute, followed by a stunning strike from Lorenzo Insigne just before halftime ended.

Belgium reduced their deficit in the first-half stoppage time with Romelu Lukakau scoring from the penalty spot. Lukaku's 4th strike of Euro 2020 went in vain as Italy did not let the lead slip in the 2nd half. Mancini's men with a 2-1 win took their unbeaten streak to 32 games now.

Italy will now lock horns with Spain in the Euro 2020 semi-finals, who beat Switzerland in a penalty shootout.
