India recorded 86,500 new Covid-19 cases, marking a slight increase in the number of daily cases that had seen a slide in the last few days. The country's Covid case tally has now crossed 57 lakh while the number of deaths due to virus has topped 91,000 with 1,129 fatalities reported in the last 24 hours. On the positive side, the number of recoveries surpassed the number of fresh cases for the sixth straight day on Thursday. Over 87,000 people recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. More than 46 lakh people have so far recovered from the dangerous contagion.
