Mayank getting run out was disaster: KL Rahul

After suffering their 5th defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday, Kings XI Punjab skipper KL Rahul said that opening Batsman Mayank Aggrawal's run-out in the second over proved to be a disaster for the team.

KXIP who slumped to a 69-run defeat at the hands of SRH were all out in the 16th over itself. The disappointed skipper accepted that after losing wickets in the power play, it was tough as the team was only playing 6 batters.

But the skipper admitted there was a silver lining, he lauded Nicholas Pooran's efforts who scored 77 off 37 balls. He also said that after struggling during the death overs in the last 5 games, the bowlers exhibited courage and pulled things back. KXIP who will next face KKR on Saturday, are lurking at the bottom of the IPL points table.
