TikTok has reportedly struck a deal with Oracle to sell its US operations to the American software giant, just ahead of the September 15 deadline imposed by US President Donald Trump.

This means that the popular short-form video app will remain operational in the US.

The development followed soon after the original frontrunner, Microsoft, announced that it had failed in its bid to acquire TikTok’s US operations from its Chinese owner, ByteDance.
