With the launch of this software and mobile application, no person will have to physically come to the State Information Commission office for their complaints, he said.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday launched a software and a mobile application to facilitate e-filing and online hearing of complaints and second appeals in the State Information Commission.
After launching the complaint and appeal tracking system at the RTI Bhawan, he said that technology can become a powerful medium to bring changes in a person's life.
With the launch of this software and mobile application, no person will have to physically come to the State Information Commission office for their complaints, he said.
According to a press statement issued by the state government, the chief minister highlighted that prior to 2017, the state witnessed a food grain scam, where the underprivileged were deprived of their essential food supplies in various districts.
As soon as his government assumed office in the state, Adityanath said, "we conducted raids on all the 80,000 fair price ration shops in the state simultaneously, exposing 30 lakh fake ration cards." Uttar Pradesh has become the first state in the country whose Information Commission has its own software and app for the redressal of complaints, he said.

Meghalaya Chief Minister and National People's Party president Conrad K Sangma on Saturday filed his nomination papers from South Tura assembly constituency in West Garo Hills district.
Sangma, who was accompanied by hundreds of NPP supporters to the office of the returning officer of the district, exuded confidence that his party will have the "single-largest majority" in the upcoming polls to the 60-member assembly.
He is seeking re-election from South Tura assembly seat in the February 27 elections.
&ldquo;The NPP will have the single-largest majority. We are confident and moving ahead with the development works undertaken in the last five years.
"The foundation has been laid in various sectors, and it is time to take things to the next level. The continuity is important so that we achieve goals that we have set,&rdquo; he told reporters.

The posters feature the likeness of chief minister Basavraj Bommai and a QR code. 
Upon scanning the QR code, the user is redirected to a website called ‘40 percent sarkar’. The portal was launched by opposition party last week for citizens to register their complaints against the government. 
The website ‘40 percent sarkar’ refers to the allegations of bribery levelled by the state contractors against BJP leaders and officials. The contractors in the past had claimed that 40 percent of the tender amount for state-funded projects is taken by BJP leaders and officials. 
Notably, similar posters with '40 percent CM' written on them were spotted in Hyderabad last week when Bommai was there to take part in the ‘Hyderabad Liberation day’ celebration organized by the union government.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said he can lay down his life for the country, a day after members of the BJP's youth wing vandalised property outside his residence and the AAP alleged that a conspiracy was being hatched to "assassinate" its national convenor.
Without naming the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kejriwal further said such "hooliganism" by a party in power at the Centre will not help in the progress of the nation and send out a wrong message to the people.
The BJP's youth wing Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) allegedly damaged property outside Kejriwal's residence in Civil Lines on Wednesday during their protest against the chief minister's remarks on 'The Kashmir Files' film.
"Arvind Kejriwal is not important but the country is. I am a very small person and a common man. I can lay down my life for the nation. India will not progress through such hooliganism," Kejriwal said at an event to flag off e-autos at IP Depot here.
"If the biggest party of the world, which is in power at the Centre, resorts to such hooliganism in the capital, it will spread a bad message among people. People will think this is the right way (to deal with anything)," he said at the event.
Kejriwal also said the country cannot progress in such a scenario. People will have to work with love, then only the nation can prosper, he said.
"We have already wasted 75 years by doing dirty politics, indulging in fighting and hooliganism. Now if we want to take our country forward, make it an India of 21st century, then we will have to work together with love," Kejriwal said.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday had lashed out at the BJP, alleging it was a "conspiracy to kill" Kejriwal as the saffron party is unable to defeat the Aam Aadmi Party in the elections.
The BJP has been targeting Kejriwal after he took a swipe at the saffron party for promoting the film. It has demanded an apology from the chief minister, saying he has insulted Kashmiri Hindus with his remarks about the movie.
The BJYM protest outside the CM's residence was being led by its national president and MP Tejasvi Surya. The BJP has accused the AAP of scripting a drama and playing the "victim card" after the ''public anger'' against Kejriwal's remarks "mocking" displaced Kashmiri Pandits. Surya had asserted that the "victims in this issue are Kashmiri Hindus and not the Aam Aadmi Party and Kejriwal''.
"It is a time-tested tactic of the urban Naxals. Our protest is not against any party and this is not merely regarding 'The Kashmir Files'. This protest is against the inhuman mindset of Kejriwal who denies the Hindu genocide in Kashmir," Surya had said.
The Delhi Police on Thursday also arrested eight people in connection with alleged vandalism at Kejriwal's residence here. (PTI)

Shocked by tone of Maha Governor's letter to CM: Pawar to Modi

PTI,&nbsp;Mumbai:&nbsp;NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressing shock over the kind of language used by Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari in a letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray over reopening places of worship amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
In his letter to Modi, the Rajya Sabha MP, whose party is a key ally in the Shiv Sena-led MVA government, said he was pained by the erosion of standards of conduct by the high Constitutional office of the Honourable Governor.
In the letter to the chief minister on reopening of temples, Koshyari had asked, "Have you suddenly turned secular, the term you hated?" Pawar said the Prime Minister had given very appropriate slogan of do gaj ki doori to curb the spread of COVID-19 and added the Maharashtra government is also planning a campaign to make people aware of the importance of social distancing.
The former Union minister referred to the huge crowds some temples in the state like that of Lord Vitthal in Pandhapur, Siddhivinayak in Mumbai, Sai Baba in Shirdi and others, witness on normal days.
In such places, it is almost impossible to maintain safe distance between people. Keeping this in view, the Government of Maharashtra had decided to stagger the decision regarding opening up of places of worship, Pawar said.
The NCP patriarch said he agreed the Governor can have independent views and opinion on the sensitive issue and appreciated the latters prerogative to convey his views to the chief minister.
However, I am shocked and surprised to see the letter of the Governor released to the media and the kind of language used in the letter, Pawar said.
The veteran politician said separately on Twitter that the kind of language used in the letter does not behove well for a person who holds a constitutional position.
The NCP president said he is sure the prime minister, too, would have noticed the intemperate language used in the Governors letter.
Pawar said the word secular is part of the Preamble of the Constitution and it shields all religions.
Hence, the Chair of the Chief Minister must uphold such tenets of the Constitution, he said.
Unfortunately, Hon. Governors letter to the Chief Minister invokes the connotation as if written to the leader of a political party.
I firmly believe that in a democracy, free exchange of views between the Hon. Governor and the Hon. Chief Minister must take place.
However, the tone and tenor used must always be in keeping with the stature of the constitutional post occupied by the individuals, Pawar said.
The veteran leader said that looking at the turn of events, the chief minister was left with no option but to release his reply to the Governor in the press.
Pawar said he fully endorsed the chief ministers decision on this issue.
I have not discussed this matter either with the Hon.

Reports said that about a dozen MLAs are camping in Delhi to meet party leadership to apprise them of what they say the "misrule" of the chief minister. The rebels group is reportedly led by BJP heavyweight Sudip Roy Barman. The MLAs have claimed that the CM's&nbsp;"total dictatorship and poor governance" are making the BJP unpopular in Tripura. The dissidents have also alleged total mismanagement of the Covid pandemic in the state and that many IAS and IPS officers are leaving the state due to CM's "dictatorship".
