Reacting to the development, former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal pointed out that it was the second such instance within a week and asked how these bomb threats would affect the children.
A Delhi Fire Services official said, "We received calls (regarding the threat emails) from Bhatnagar International School in Paschim Vihar (4:21 am), Cambridge School in Shri Niwas Puri (6:23 am) and DPS Amar Colony in East of Kailash (6:35 am)."
"(Calls were also received) from the South Delhi Public School in Defence Colony (7:57 am), Delhi Police Public School in Safdarjung (8:02 am) and Venkateshwar Global School in Rohini (8:30 am)," he added.
The fire department, police and bomb detection teams, along with dog squads, have reached the schools and are conducting checks, the official said.
The schools' authorities sent messages to guardians to not send their wards for classes or take them back if they already reached.
A police source said the emails were received at 12:54 am, with the sender mentioning "parent-teachers' meeting" and "sports day" activities in the schools.
The sender also mentioned that the "schools will face bomb blasts" on Friday and Saturday, the source said.
A police official said checks were underway.
Cambridge School principal Madhavi Goswami said she was checking the school mail, as routine, when she saw the threat.
"I informed the police and they worked proactively. We were assured by the Delhi Police about the investigation. We informed the parents that classes would be online today," she said.
Karmveer, a guard at South Delhi Public School, said he received a message at 7:20 am, following which they started to ask the parents coming to school with their children to return.
"The school administration declared that all the students should be asked to return. Only a few children were already inside the campus and they were also sent back," he told PTI Videos.
AAP supremo Kejriwal, who had on December 9 hit out at the Delhi Police and Union Home Minister Amit Shah over that day's bomb threats, shared a news clip about the latest threats on his official X handle.
"This is the second time this week that Delhi schools have received bomb threats, which is extremely serious and worrying. If this continues, how badly will it affect the children? What will happen to their studies?" he asked in Hindi in the caption of the post.

The Delhi Fire Department was first notified by GD Goenka School at 6:15 am, followed by DPS RK Puram at 7:06 am. Fire officials, along with dog squads, bomb detection teams, and local police, conducted thorough searches of the premises but found nothing suspicious.
This incident follows an earlier event in October when an explosion outside a CRPF school in Rohini's Prashant Vihar caused property damage. Subsequent bomb threats targeting CRPF schools were also emailed, but investigations determined them to be hoaxes.

Bodies of two labourers were recovered early Saturday from under the debris of a wall that collapsed at a construction site in the Vasant Vihar area here amid heavy rain, officials said.

The incident occurred on Friday and it was reported to the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) around 5:30 am.

Cranes are being used to remove debris while water is being pumped out of the foundation pit to recover the remaining bodies, the officials said.

"INDIA bloc is headed towards forming a strong and stable government," he asserted.
The BJP will win 220 seats on its own while the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will end up getting 235 seats, he claimed.
Most exit polls for Delhi predicted the BJP to win five to seven Lok Sabha seats. The city has seven Lok Sabha constituencies held by the BJP since 2014.

Special Judge Kaveri Baweja reserved the order, observing that the application was for grant of interim bail on medical grounds and not for the extension of the interim bail granted by the Supreme Court.

The Delhi government on Wednesday directed the DJB to impose a fine of Rs 2,000 for water wastage.
The move comes amid an "acute shortage" of water faced by Delhi with Water Minister Atishi accusing Haryana of not releasing Delhi's share of water from the Yamuna River.
The fine will be imposed for using hoses to wash cars, overflowing water tanks and use of domestic water for construction and commercial purposes, Atishi said.
The minister directed the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) CEO to immediately deploy 200 teams across the city to implement the measures to check water wastage.
These teams will be deployed from 8 am on Thursday and impose fines on anyone found wasting water. The teams will also disconnect any illegal water connections on construction sites or commercial establishments.

The Delhi Fire Services said it received a call at 11.32 pm and nine fire tenders were rushed to the site.
Earlier, the officials said 11 newborns were rescued from the building.
"A fire call from Baby Care Centre, near ITI, Block B of Vivek Vihar area was received. A total of nine fire tenders were dispatched," Garg said.
Several news reports on the incident suggest the blaze broke out after multiple oxygen cylinder blasts in the hospital, however, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, said DFS chief Atul Garg
The incident comes on a day at least 27 persons were killed in Gujarat's Rajkot city when a massive fire swept through a crowded game zone and the building collapsed.

Almost a week after 200 schools in the Delhi-NCR region received bomb hoax threats, several schools in Gujarat's Ahmedabad received similar emails on May 6.&nbsp;
According to PTI news agency reports, at six three schools received bomb threat mail. Bomb disposal squads and SWAT teams of Ahmedabad Police were dispatched for precautionary checks.
"Some schools in Ahmedabad have received emails threatening bomb blasts. So far, six schools have received such emails and have informed us about it. This seems to be on the lines of bomb threats received by schools in Delhi some days back," DCP cyber crime branch Lavina Sinha told PTI.
"As per our primary investigation, the email's domain is out of India," she said.
The local police, bomb disposal squad and crime branch personnel were checking the schools, the official said.
Polling in 25 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat will be held on Tuesday.&nbsp;

A 33-year-old mechanic was stabbed to death Sunday at his rented house in the Mahindra Park area of northwest Delhi, police said.
The victim, Zahid, was known to his alleged killer, who has been identified as Ravi, they said. The two reportedly had a fallout over a woman.
Police said they received a PCR call about a stabbing incident at Mahindra Park Police Station around 4.30 pm.
Zahid and Ravi were known to a woman, who too was present at the house when the stabbing took place, an officer said.
"Zahid saw the woman with Ravi at his house. A verbal spat ensued between them. Ravi stabbed Zahid who died," a senior police officer said.
Ravi, who also received some cuts in the scuffle, called up police after he stabbed his friend.
"Ravi himself called the police and informed about the incident. The deceased was a paper cutting machine mechanic. Ravi is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital," said the officer.
Police said they will question Ravi once he gets a discharge, as well as the woman.

The Delhi LG secretariat has written a letter to the Union home secretary over the alleged violations by the Delhi government and "concerted attempts" to "mislead the courts" aiming to "influence" the justice delivery system, the Raj Niwas officials said.
The Delhi government attempts to "influence" the justice delivery system through filing of "motivated and premeditated" petitions and presenting "patently false" affidavits, they said.
No immediate reaction was available from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government over the charges of the LG secretariat.
The letter from Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena's principal secretary cited various cases in the Supreme Court and Delhi High Court and the alleged "violations" of the Delhi government with regard to its "dealings" with these courts.
"Of late, there have been concerted attempts at misleading the courts, with an apparent aim of influencing the justice delivery system by way of filing motivated and premeditated petitions and trying to secure an endorsement of the same from the courts by presenting patently false affidavits," alleged the letter.
It said "GNCTD (Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi) Vs the Lt Governor" in various matters in different courts has become the "prevalent norm" rather than an exception.
"The attempts obviously are, apart from misleading the courts, to create a false media narrative which maligns the constitutional office of Lt Governor in public domain," said the letter sent to Union home secretary with Saxena's approval.
The cases quoted in the letter include matters related to infrastructure in the Delhi High Court and the subordinate courts, release of funds for Delhi Jal Board and 'Farishtey' scheme, DCPCR, classification of conforming and non-conforming wards related to the 2021-22 excise policy.
The letter is intended to apprise the home ministry of the developments in Delhi with regard to "avoidable litigation" in various courts, it said.&nbsp;

The Delhi Traffic Police will be deploying special teams across major road intersections to check drunk driving and red-light jumping on Holi.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi Traffic) Prashant Gautam said they have made elaborate arrangements so that the festival of colours is celebrated safely and peacefully.
"In the New Delhi range, they have deployed around 400 traffic police personnel at 61 traffic points and around 40 joint pickets with local police. Besides regulating the traffic, the focus will be on drunken driving, triple riding, without helmet and without seat belt driving," he said.
According to an advisory issued by police, a strict watch will be kept on road violations, including speeding, triple-riding, and zig-zag driving.
"Special checking teams will be deployed at major intersections, drinking points and vulnerable points for the Holi celebrations to detect and prosecute traffic violations.
"These special traffic police checking teams will be stationed on various roads and strategic locations/intersections all over Delhi, along with PCR vans and local police teams, to check drunken driving, red-light jumping etc," the advisory stated.
Police also cited the direction of the Supreme Court committee on road safety, which allows seizing of driving licence and its suspension for three months in cases of drunk driving, red-light jumping, using a mobile phone while driving, and dangerous driving.
Police also advised people not to perform stunts on two-wheelers, and celebrate Holi indoors, not in public places or roads.
Celebration of Hola Mohalla by Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee on Monday may also lead to traffic, police said.
The festival will be celebrated from early morning till evening at Gurudwara Damdama Sahib, behind Humayun Tomb, Near Nizamuddin. A large number of devotees are expected to participate in it.
In view of the event, heavy vehicular traffic is expected on Mathura Road, Bharat Scouts and Guides Marg, at and around Neela Gumbad, Oberoi Flyover, under Lodhi Flyover, Zakir Hussain Marg and Lala Lajpat Rai Marg, police said.&nbsp;

Two people died after being fatally injured in a mysterious fire in their apartment in Burari in North Delhi.&nbsp;

Two people, including a Nigerian national, were burnt to death under mysterious circumstances in a house in north Delhi's Burari area, police said on Tuesday.
One of them was identified as Christian Ifeanyichukwu, a resident of Nigeria but the other deceased is yet to be identified, police said.
Reportedly, the two were injured after a mysterious fire broke out in their apartment on February 24. The incident came to light after police received an MLC from AIIMS regarding the death of two people.&nbsp;
They were admitted to AIIMS by a group of people, who claimed to be their friends, on February 23. But they fled after leaving them in the hospital, a police officer said.
Both of them succumbed to injuries during treatment in the hospital.&nbsp;
Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and a forensic examination of the spot has also been done.&nbsp;
