Southern film industries have taken over the pan-India space, especially post pandemic, &nbsp;making significant waves in the Indian Cinema. Hindi film industry, on the contrary, has seen a massive fall in the last few years. Many superstars including Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar have seen their films tank at the box office, while the audience has wholeheartedly embraced South Indian films like 'Pushpa', 'Kantara', and the 'KGF' franchise. Given the recent trajectory, there has been an impression that the regional film industries are making more hits than flop while that is clearly not the case for Bollywood. &nbsp;Taapsee Pannu, who has seen best a part of the best of both worlds, was recently asked her views on the topic. &nbsp;The 'Phir Aayi Haseen Dilrruba' actor said that the proportion of the hits and flops is almost the same in all the film industries.&nbsp;
In a recent interview with ANI, &nbsp;Taapsee was asked why Southern films are doing better than Hindi. Responding to it, the actor said that that an audience sitting in a Hindi-speaking state only gets exposed to the hit southern films and does not really get to know about the films that are out of the theatres in the first week. &nbsp;There also films fail, there also films don&rsquo;t work after 3-4 days and they are out of the theatre. It&rsquo;s just that you don&rsquo;t get to know about it sitting here. If you are staying in that state or if you follow every release of that industry, you will realise that they also have equal proportion of hits and flops. It&rsquo;s not that different,&rdquo; she said.
She also added that the movie viewing culture is quite different in regional cinema than in Hindi. The actor asserted, "movie viewing is almost like a religious activity. People are movie lovers. It&rsquo;s a ritual there.&rdquo; She added that it is &ldquo;relatively difficult to pull out a Hindi movie viewing audience from their houses to go and watch the film.&rdquo;
When asked if the southern film industry is more organised and more disciplined, Taapsee said that it is not necessarily the case. &ldquo;Having worked in both the industries, I can tell you it&rsquo;s not the case,&rdquo; she shared.&nbsp;
&ldquo;Till the time I was there in the southern film industry, I didn&rsquo;t get any bound scripts for any of my films. I used to only get scenes and a lot of things used to change on set. I think now, probably, it&rsquo;s better there as well. But when I started in Hindi, my first film Chashme Baddoor, even though it was a David Dhawan film who is known as the director from the time when everything was written on the spot, even that film had a bound script,&rdquo; she said.&nbsp;

In a recent interview, Taapsee discussed the possibility of a third installment. Speaking with News 18 Showsha, Taapsee Pannu humorously noted that she doesn't read as much as her co-stars Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal. However, she mentioned that she has given Kanika Dhillon the book Malice for potential use in a third installment of the film.

Taapsee shared, &lsquo;I realised that Kanika can make me do anything. The next thing she made me do was Haseen Dillruba, which became a franchise very close to my heart. She writes my kind of relatable women so well. These are the women who&rsquo;ll make mistakes but will own up to them and will be honest about the fact that they did something wrong.&rsquo;
Taapsee added, &lsquo;Their mistakes are never hidden under the garb of heroism. These characters will never say, &lsquo;Arrey, main toh aisi hi hoon&rsquo;. There&rsquo;s something very beautiful about Kanika&rsquo;s protagonists being grey and vulnerable. She has a very unique style of writing. We understand each other very well as a writer-actor duo.&rsquo;

It&rsquo;s me who has signed up for this, not my partner, not the people who were involved in the wedding. I am not sure about how I feel about it being out there, that&rsquo;s why I&rsquo;ve kept it to myself.&rdquo;

She added, "I have no plans for a release (of wedding photos and details) of any kind. I don&rsquo;t think I am mentally prepared to put that out right now. I knew people who were there, they wanted to be there for me and were not present to judge, that&rsquo;s why I was pretty relaxed&hellip; In the future, if I get comfortable sharing about it (wedding details), we will figure out how what and when I want to release something if at all.&rdquo;

The diva also undergoes weight training to build strength. Be it leg day or working on her back, Taapsee's fitness routine is highly inspirational. Taapsee also believes in practicing yoga every day and enjoys stretching.

She said, &lsquo;Agar wo khaali hai hi nahi, if you&rsquo;re too happy and satisfied with what you have already, to wo avenue khaali hi nahi hai ki koi aur aake bharega. Isliye that feeling is very subjective. (However, if one is in a fulfilling relationship, and are very satisfied and happy with what they already have, then that avenue is not empty for anyone to fill. So that feeling is very subjective)&rsquo;

Taapsee Pannu had her hands full shooting for &lsquo;Dunki&rsquo;, across diverse locations including London, Jeddah, Pune, Mumbai, Budapest, and Kashmir. Now, her nutritionist Munmun Ganeriwal has opened up about the challenges that she had to overcome to ensure a proper diet for the actor across all shoot locations.
Even though the movie depicted the winter season, most of the locations where the film was shot were experiencing a heat wave. This, combined with Taapsee&rsquo;s winter attire for the film, as well as her strict fitness regimen, meant that proper measures needed to be taken to prevent heat stroke or exhaustion.
Ganeriwal explains that she incorporated vetiver roots, which have cooling properties, into the actor&rsquo;s diet. To cool down between breaks, Taapsee was given variyali sherbet, a traditional beverage made with fennel seeds and rock candy. &ldquo;But I also use black raisins in this recipe for her. This helps beat heat-related challenges like acidity, indigestion, etc,&rdquo; emphasizes Ganeriwal. Yet another traditional summer drink she gave the actor was the Udupi ellu juice.
Because Taapsee was often alternating between shooting &lsquo;Dunki&rsquo; and &lsquo;Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba&rsquo;, in addition to the changing geographical locations, she was given a diet plan with a good balance of macronutrients as well as fluids. &ldquo;Her meals aren&rsquo;t completely gluten-free but we incorporate gluten minimally only so that there&rsquo;s room for other grains and millets. Diversity has always been the key point in her meal planning&rdquo;, explains Ganeriwal.
In addition to weight training and cardio, Taapsee Pannu also incorporates squash into her fitness regimen.

Today (16 May) Viacom18 Studios and Outsiders Films Productions in association with BLM Pictures announced their new film titled ‘Dhak Dhak’.  The film is a fascinating tale about four women and their life changing journey to the highest motorable pass in the world.
Speaking about the association, Ajit Andhare (COO-Viacom18 Studios) said, “Dhak Dhak’ is a heart-warming story of four women undertaking a trip breaking out of their cocoons & discovering themselves through this journey of introspection & adventure. This was the perfect script and resonates well with the DNA of our storytelling.”
The film’s producer Taapsee Pannu added, “At Outsiders Films, we aim to produce films that are meaningful and entertaining. We have attempted to give audiences a visual experience that they have rarely seen on screen. ‘Dhak Dhak’ narrates the story of four women who realize that freedom has to be owned and never given. Viacom18 Studios has been a crucial part of my journey in the film industry from ‘Chashme Baddoor’, ‘Shabaash Mithu’ and now to ‘Dhak Dhak’. In Viacom18 Studios and Ajit, we have a partner who has a great foresight towards differentiated cinema. I am sure that this ride will be an enriching one.”
The film stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza and Sanjana Sanghi as its protagonists. ‘Dhak Dhak’ has been co-written by Parijat Joshi and Tarun Dudeja.
The film, which is presently under production, will hit cinema screens in 2023.

The film&rsquo;s producer <a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/shabaash-mithu-teaser-taapsee-pannu-brings-indian-cricketer-mithali-raj-to-big-screen-1647850396352">Taapsee Pannu</a> added, &ldquo;At Outsiders Films, we aim to produce films that are meaningful and entertaining. We have attempted to give audiences a visual experience that they have rarely seen on screen. &lsquo;Dhak Dhak&rsquo; narrates the story of four women who realize that freedom has to be owned and never given. Viacom18 Studios has been a crucial part of my journey in the film industry from &lsquo;Chashme Baddoor&rsquo;, &lsquo;Shabaash Mithu&rsquo; and now to &lsquo;Dhak Dhak&rsquo;. The film stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza and Sanjana Sanghi as its protagonists. &lsquo;Dhak Dhak&rsquo; has been co-written by Parijat Joshi and Tarun Dudeja.
The film, which is presently under production, will hit cinema screens in 2023.

A new picture featuring Taapsee Pannu along with Shah Rukh Khan leaked on the internet from the sets of ‘Dunki’. The picture gave a glimpse of Taapsee’s look in the film. In the leaked picture the ‘Thapad’ actor can be seen with a big smile and carrying a bag on her shoulder while SRK is down on one knee with a confused expression on his face. ‘Dunki’ marks the collaboration of Taapsee and SRK for the first time and they are currently shooting in London for the film. The trailer of 'Dobaaraa', starring Tapsee Pannu has finally been unveiled.  The trailer started with Taapsee and her family knowing that they are staying in the place where nearby a boy was murdered. From here the story proceeds, thriller and suspense begin. A remake of the 2018 Spanish movie ‘Mirage’, ‘Dobaaraa’  gives a glimpse of the story of how during a thunderstorm, the Taapsee faces odd circumstances. The movie also stars Rahul Bhat and Pavail Gulati. The film is directed by Anurag Kashyap and produced by Ekta Kapoor.
 This is a new-age thriller that reunites Tapsee and Anurag for the third time.
‘Dobaaraa’ will be screened at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) on August 12. The film will release in Indian theatres on August 19.
