12 hours, 2 terror attacks in Rajouri: J&K LG Manoj Sinha says attackers won't go 'unpunished'

Amid two terror attacks within 12 hours in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that those behind the attacks won't go "unpunished".

Sinha tweeted, "I strongly condemn the cowardly terror attack in Rajouri. I assure the people that those behind this despicable attack will not go unpunished. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families."

He also announced a compensation of ₹10 lakhs and a government job for relatives of those killed in the attack. Those seriously injured would be given ₹1 lakh each.

"Officials have been directed to ensure best treatment to injured," he added.

On 1 January 2023, terrorists entered some houses and shot 4 people dead, injuring many others. On 2 January, an explosion occurred near the house of the one of the victims of the first attack.
