A phenomenal Monday morning for India, as the country's ace Paralympians clinch four medals back to back at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020.

It all started with Avani Lekhara who etched her name in the history books by becoming the first woman to clinch a Paralympics gold in the 10m Air rifle shooting event. This was followed by Yogesh Kathuniya's fabulous 44.38m discus throw that won India silver, its second medal of the day. Soon after, the Indian para-athletes exhibited their sheer competence at the world stage, as Devendra Jhajharia and Sundar Singh Gurjar dominated the para-Javelin throw podium at the quadrennial Para event. While Jhajharia who has already won 2 individual medals at the Paralympics earlier, won the silver with a 64.35mt throw, Gurjar won the Bronze medal for Team India with a 64.01 mt throw.
