Indian players were scared that they had contracted Covid-19: Ganguly

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has denied IPL being the reason for the Manchester Test being cancelled and has revealed that the Test was cancelled due to Indian players' refusal to play due to the fear of Covid-19.

Dada told The Telegraph on Monday that Physio Yogesh Parmar was a close contact of the players. He mixed freely with them and even performed Covid-19 tests on the players. And when he tested positive, Indian cricketers were devastated and feared they must have contracted the disease and were dead scared.

Few former players including Michael Vaughan earlier alleged that Indian players pulled out of the 5th Test as they feared testing positive for Covid-19 ahead of the IPL but ECB chief Tom Harrison flatly denied that IPL had anything to do with it.
