Rhea denied bail in drug case, to stay in jail

A sessions court in Mumbai has rejected the bail pleas of Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty who have been arrested in a drug case. Rhea will now stay in jail till September 22. The NCB has claimed that Rhea procured drugs for late actor and boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput and was part of a drug syndicate. While Rhea was sent to judicial custody for 14 days after her arrest on Tuesday, her brother Showik is in Narcotics Control Bureau remand since September 4. Rhea has retracted her statement to the NCB claiming that she was coerced by the agency.
