In another chance aerial encounter, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin met NDA ally Chandrababu Naidu at the New Delhi airport on Wednesday night, sparking buzz of possible defection.
This came hours after RJD's Tejashwi Yadav and JDU's Nitish Kumar were seen boarding the same aircraft from Patna airport for their respective meetings.
Stalin was in the national capital for the INDIA bloc meeting, while Naidu was returning from the NDA group meeting.
Taking to social media X, Stalin said that he hoped that the TDP supremo would play a crucial role in the union government and advocate for southern states' rights.
"Met Thiru @ncbn garu, a longtime friend of Thalaivar Kalaignar (Karunanidhi), at Delhi Airport. I conveyed my best wishes to him and expressed hope that we will collaborate to strengthen the ties between the brotherly states of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh." "I am confident that he will play a crucial role in the Union Government, advocating for the southern states and protecting our rights," Stalin said in a post on 'X.'&nbsp;

As several political dignitaries extended birthday wishes to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, the one from the Bharatiya Janata Party's Tamil Nadu unit through its official handle X caught everyone's attention.
The saffron party wished Stalin in Mandarin language, in an apparent dig at the ruling DMK over an advertisement on ISRO that featured a Chinese flag.
"On behalf of Tamil Nadu BJP, here's wishing our Honourable CM Thiru MK Stalin a happy birthday in his favourite language! May he live a long and healthy life!" the post on X read.&nbsp;
The row erupted after the state government commissioned the ad showing the Chinese flag on Wednesday ahead of the foundation stone-laying event of the spaceport by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During a rally in Tirunelveli on Wednesday, PM Modi slammed the ruling DMK government, saying that the ad has insulted India's scientists.&nbsp;
"Now they have crossed the limit. They have pasted the sticker of China to take credit for the ISRO launchpad in Tamil Nadu. This is an insult to our space scientists, the space sector, your tax money, and you (the country)."
The DMK leader who issued the ad, R Radhakrishnan, clarified that it was a gaffe by the designer and the party had no other intentions.&nbsp;

Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi is once again in the spotlight. He has reportedly sent back 10 Assembly-approved bills in the last three years, increasing friction with Chief Minister MK Stalin and his party.
Media reports say these bills come back to the Assembly, which now plans to re-approve them without making any amendments.
An unnamed source has told the Deccan Herald that bills blocked by the CM were related to the establishment of a new institution called Siddha University. &ldquo;The government has decided to reenact these bills without any changes,&rdquo; the source told DH.
Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker M Appavu also spoke on the matter. &ldquo;The special session has been convened to reenact the bills. The government wanted the session to be convened,&rdquo; he said.
The anti&ndash;NET bill has been a friction point between the DMK and Tamil Nadu governor. It was rejected by the governor and has now been handed to President Droupadi Murmu.

A day after the spat between the ruling DMK and Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi on the floor of the state assembly, "#GetoutRavi" posters, prominently featuring Chief Minister M K Stalin surfaced in some parts of Chennai
The hashtag was trending on Twitter on Monday following Ravi's face-off with the state government in the Assembly where Stalin, also president of the ruling DMK piloted a resolution against the Governor's deviation from his customary address to the Legislature and retain the draft prepared by his government.
However, in Pudukottai, posters were put up by local BJP functionaries hailing Ravi. Many BJP Twitter handles backed him and slammed the ruling DMK over the matter.
Stalin's son and state Minister Udhayanidhi hailed what happened in the Assembly on Monday and said it was an "unprecedented event" in the history of the House.
"Normally our leader (Stalin) makes the opposition run with his replies (in the assembly) but this time he made the governor run," he quipped at an event.
Stalin will be the first CM to voice concern whenever "our rights" are affected, he added.
A senior TN BJP functionary filed a police complaint against some MLAs of the ruling DMK.
In a tweet, A Ashvathaman, State Secretary, said he has filed the complaint under Section 124 of the IPC, which deals with "assaulting President, Governor, etc., with intent to compel or restrain the exercise of any lawful power." Protests were held in Coimbatore against the Governor by the Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam where the agitators attempted to burn an effigy of Ravi. Elsewhere, local BJP workers staged a demonstration condemning the incident. Police detained the respective activists seperately.
Meanwhile, another row erupted over the Raj Bhavan's Pongal celebrations invitation allegedly not containing the state government emblem. The invitation contained only the national emblem, many alleged.

Udhayanidhi, who is an MLA and DMK's youth wing secretary, is the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin. The 45-year-old was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi in a simple ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan.
Clad in his trademark white shirt, with a logo of DMK's youth wing embossed on it, Udhayanidhi took the oath in Tamil, in a style that was characteristic of his father, party chief M K Stalin.

The Madras High Court had struck down the state's ban on online games like rummy and poker with stakes, and the Tamil Nadu government had then appealed to the Supreme Court.
The state government had told the apex court stated that teenagers and youths were losing their entire earnings and savings by indulging in online games.
Tamil Nadu government enacted an ordinance against online rummy for the second time. Earlier, AIADMK government imposed a ban in 2021 but the law was struck down by Madras HC.&nbsp;
The committee also recommended that the state government ban advertisements that encourage people to play such online games.

On Monday, the West Bengal Chief Minister sought to edge the Congress out of any such prospective formation, saying no regional outfit shares cordial relations with it and that the "Congress can go its own way".
Amid signs of increasing bonhomie between her and her Telangana and Tamil Nadu counterparts Rao and Stalin, Banerjee had approached the two on Sunday to set up meetings of opposition chief ministers.
Asserting that the country's federal structure "has been bulldozed" and the country's Constitution is being "demolished", Mamata called for unity amongst the opposition CMs "to come together to protect it".
"Together we are trying to protect the federal structure. All regional parties must come to an understanding," she said, referring to her telephone calls to Rao and Stalin.
Banerjee, who has intensified her efforts to form a coalition of opposition parties after she fell out with the Congress over cobbling together an alliance in Goa, claimed no regional outfit is on friendly terms with the main opposition party.
"The Congress can go its way, we will go ours," she asserted.
Interestingly, Congress is an alliance partner of the DMK in Tamil Nadu.

Asserting that the country's federal structure "has been bulldozed" and the country's Constitution is being "demolished", Mamata called for unity amongst the opposition CMs "to come together to protect it".
"Together we are trying to protect the federal structure. All regional parties must come to an understanding," she said, referring to her telephone calls to Rao and Stalin.
Banerjee, who has intensified her efforts to form a coalition of opposition parties after she fell out with the Congress over cobbling together an alliance in Goa, claimed no regional outfit is on friendly terms with the main opposition party.
"The Congress can go its way, we will go ours," she asserted.
Interestingly, Congress is an alliance partner of the DMK in Tamil Nadu.
After a call from Banerjee, Rao said on Sunday he will soon meet Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and the TMC supremo as part of the efforts to unite various political parties against the BJP.
