The British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) announced the nominations for the 2023 BAFTA Film Awards on Thursday evening. ‘RRR’, who was in the longlist for the ‘Film not in English language’ category couldn’t make it to the final spot. However, Indian documentary ‘All That Breathes’ has made it to the nominations for Best Documentary. Shaunak Sen’s documentary film will be competing against ‘All The Beauty And The Bloodshed’, ‘Moonage Daydream’, ‘Fire of Love’ and ‘Navalny’.
‘All That Breathes’ revolves around Delhi’s environmental toxicity and civil unrest. It tells the story of two brothers who want to protect the neglected Kite birds.
‘All Quiet on the Western Front’ lead the nominations with 14 nods. Other nominees such as ‘The Banshees Of Inisherin’ and ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ grabbed 10 nominations each.
The BAFTAs are scheduled to take place on 19 February.
