Rajkummar Rao's upcoming film, titled ‘Sri’, is a biopic on visually impaired industrialist Srikanth Bolla. The release date of the film has been announced on social media.

Actor Rajkummar Rao will soon be seen portraying the role of visually impaired industrialist Srikanth Bolla. His next is a biopic on the life of the industrialist, titled ‘Sri’, which also stars Jyotika, Alaya F, and Sharad Kelkar in pivotal roles. The film is all set to release in theatres on December 15, 2023.

The makers shared a short clip to announce the news on social media. Sharing the video, they wrote, ‘Bringing you the inspirational story of #SRI, based on the biopic of the idealist Srikanth Bolla, who didn't let his challenges stop him from achieving his vision! Releasing in cinemas on 15th September 2023!’ The video starts with Rajkummar’s voice where he says, ‘Mein andha jarur hoon, par mein dekh sakta hu...sapne, aur sapne mein bohot bade dekhta hoon (I am blind but I can see...dreams, and I see bigger dreams).’

The clip also shows the film’s name ‘Sri’ being typed in braille as well as in English.

Rajkummar Rao, Jyotika, Alaya F, and Sharad Kelkar too shared the news on their social media handles.

Several celebrities and fans took to the comment section to express their excitement for the film.

‘Sri’ is produced by T-Series and ChalkNCheeseFilms and is directed by Tushar Hiranandani.
