Realising that the delay might deteriorate the condition of his patient, who was prepped for the surgery, doctor Nandkumar left his car in the middle of the traffic and ran towards the hospital, which was around 3 km away from the Sarjapur-Marathalli stretch where he was stuck.

Speaking to NDTV, doctor Nandkumar said "I left home well in time for the surgery. Looking at the huge traffic, I decided to leave the car with the driver and ran towards the hospital without thinking twice."
