      Punjab Police along with Central Forces on March 19 conducted a flag march in the Ranjit Avenue area in Amritsar ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

      Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of North Amritsar Varinder Singh Khosa said that the march had been conducted to instill confidence among the public so that they could vote freely.

      "Today the police along with central paramilitary forces are conducting a flag march to instill confidence among the public so that they can vote freely and strict action will be taken against anti-social elements,'' said Varinder Singh Khosa.
