Kangana Ranaut shares she will be 1st woman to burn Ravan effigy at Delhi's Lav Kush Ramleela

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is set to create a milestone at Delhi's Lav Kush Ramleela event on Dussehra.

Kangana will become the first woman to perform the Ravan Dahan, traditionally done by a man, marking the event's 50-year history.

Arjun Singh, the president of the Lav Kush Ramleela Committee, highlighted that this decision aligns with the Women's Reservation Bill passed by Parliament in September, advocating for equal rights.

He emphasized the importance of women's participation in various spheres, expressing the committee's support for gender equality and women's empowerment.

Singh underlined the significance of Kangana's role, emphasizing that women should have the right to symbolically end evil, breaking traditional norms.

He stressed the need to eliminate narrow-mindedness and promote inclusivity.

The Women's Reservation Bill, seeking to allocate 33% of seats to women in Lok Sabha and state assemblies, serves as a step towards this vision.

Kangana, known for her bold roles, took to Instagram to share her excitement, expressing gratitude for the opportunity.

Simultaneously, she continues her promotional efforts for her upcoming film "Tejas," where she portrays an Indian Air Force pilot.

The Lav Kush Ramleela event, scheduled for October 24 at the iconic Red Fort, signifies a significant stride towards gender equality and a tribute to women's capabilities in diverse fields.

Kangana's participation not only showcases her acting prowess but also embodies the spirit of progress and inclusivity in Indian society.
