Asia's richest Mukesh Ambani is only a few billion away from entering the elite $100-billion club. As per Bloomberg's Billionaires Index, Ambani's net worth stood at $92.6 billion as he was the 12th richest person on the earth.

Ambani's net worth surged $3.7 billion as shares of Reliance Industries skyrocketed to a record high. The surge in RIL's stock has been witnessed as the company targets a bigger green energy manufacturing plan.

Asia's richest man announced an ambitious plan to invest $10 billion this year in clean energy, marking a new pivot for India’s most valuable company.
